Roulette Rules and Bets: A Beginner’s Guide
Read this guide in: Roman Urdu · اردو
Roulette is one of the oldest casino games. A ball is spun around a wheel of numbered pockets, and you bet on where it will land. You can play it as a digital game or at a live table with a real dealer and wheel.
European and American roulette
European roulette has 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero. American roulette adds a double zero, making 38 pockets. The extra pocket makes American roulette slightly worse for the player, so European roulette is usually the better choice.
Inside bets (higher payouts)
- Straight up: one number, pays 35 to 1.
- Split: two neighbouring numbers, pays 17 to 1.
- Street: three numbers in a row, pays 11 to 1.
- Corner: four numbers that meet at a corner, pays 8 to 1.
- Six line: two rows, six numbers, pays 5 to 1.
Outside bets (win more often)
- Red or black, odd or even, 1-18 or 19-36: pays 1 to 1.
- Dozens (1-12, 13-24, 25-36) and columns: pays 2 to 1.
If the ball lands on zero, outside bets lose, unless the table has a special rule shown in its rules.
Live roulette and special versions
At live tables, betting is open for a few seconds before each spin, then the dealer spins the wheel and the result is shown on screen. Versions such as Lightning Roulette add random multipliers to some numbers, and auto-roulette tables spin without a dealer for faster rounds. Each table explains its own rules and payouts.
Play responsibly
Every result in these games is decided by chance, and no system can change the odds. Decide on a budget before you start, never chase losses, and take regular breaks. Our games are for adults aged 18 and over only.
